Marvel Takes A Stand

king-standcrow2.jpg

What happens when a virulent superflu 99.99% lethal spreads across the globe like wildfire while Good makes the greatest stand ever against Evil?

Stephen King has a bestseller in The Stand.

What happens when Marvel Comics adapts that bestseller? Another bestselling comic book adaptation! Quint at Aint It Cool News has interviewed Mike Perkins, the artist on the forthcoming Marvel comic book adaptation of The Stand. Plenty of artwork sits alongside the interview, so take a look at what Captain Trips has in store for you!

YES! YES! YES!

I'm not normally the type to swear to be present on release day for any title (it's just not in my normal nature), but this is different. The Stand is a novel that I've read in both its edited and unedited format and loved both times.

I think this is going to translate extremely well to the GN format and the selection of Mike Perkins as artist (along with accompanying artwork) gives me reason to believe this will be a great addition to my library (and yeah, I'm talking hardcover).

I second Kyle's cavalcade of yesses!!

The unabridged version is one of my very very favorites of all time. I cannot WAIT for the GN version.

No one will be suspicious if I call in sick on pub day, right?
