One thing I love about living in YouTubeworld is that it gives aspiring filmmakers a sweet outlet for putting out short projects and getting feedback on them. While you undoubtedly have to regularly wade through some pretty awful stuff to get to the fun ones, it’s worth it.
So I thought I’d take you through 3 ways to kill five minutes on YouTube while satisfying your undeniable craving for horror.
First up — a music video by French electronica band Zombie Zombie that remakes John Carpenter’s “The Thing” using G.I. Joe figures. Sah-weeeeeet!

Ron McGillvray has written a nifty little five-minute horror film directed by Jeff Radborne called "Storm" which, after being shown at the World Horror Convention, is now on YouTube for all to see. It's micro-budget, of course, so keep your expectations in perspective. But still, it's a well-done little terror sequence, and makes me curious to see what's coming from them in the future. It's free, it's five minutes of your time, and it's worth taking a peek.

And for some light laughs, check out animator's Bruno Bozzetto's spoof of horror films (and the moviegoing experience) with his top-down vision. Some cute laughs. The black dot's impersonation of a moviegoer is probably closer to mimicking my popcorn-eating than I care to admit.
