So... a little different question:
What monthly comic book issues should I own? I don't collect comics anymore but if I see something I need and want I buy it and usually get it signed by artist/writer/colorist/inker.
I'm a big Gaiman fan, so I bought Marvel 1602 and am buying these next two issues of Batman that Gaiman wrote. I kind of want to buy the individual issues to Dark Knight Returns by Frank Miller. Of course, I'd love the Watchmen individual issues but I'm going to have to wait for a year or more until the prices settle down thanks to the movie.
What should I own? And get signed? And keep forever?

As you can tell by my icon, I'm a huge Sam Kieth fan. I can't recommend the MAXX graphic novel compilations enough, as well as the stand-alone FOUR WOMEN graphic novel, which has a different (and better) ending than was published in individual comic book format.
Ahh, Maxx. Been a long time since I've thought of Sam Keith. What an amazing penciler.
I have a bid in for a set of Watchmen. It says first printings and mint. But until I have them in my hands, I won't trust it -- nor those bidding against me. haha
