Anyone watch the finale? What did you think of it? Were you satisfied? I loved it. The battle was epic and the old girl did us proud. Loved the few homages to the original series (even teared up when notes from the original theme worked their way in). Laughed at Moore's cameo and was scratching my head a bit over the final appearance of Baltar and Six. Just what exactly are they?

Hm! Does no one here watch BSG? I would have thought people would have pounced on this topic. In my opinion, the final episode was hit-and-miss. Mostly hit, I guess. I'm glad they had some space battle action, though I could have used more, and thankfully there was less of the tedious dialogue that plagued recent episodes (seasons?). Though the whole climax seemed a bit rushed and not as epically climaxy as I would have hoped, it wasn't a bad episode overall. I must say, the thing that irked me the most was Starbuck's... "end". Can someone please explain to me why they thought her vanishing would make sense or leave us, the audience, satisfied? So she was brought back from her death for the last hurrah/jump? I don't like the idea that she was just God's temporary fix to play her part in the last season. Starbuck deserved more than that. Also, I sort of felt bad for the humans, having to spread out across the globe. Couldn't they have just formed their own tribe? Alright, so maybe that wouldn't be the most practical plan, but I couldn't help feeling lonely for each band of travelers as they separated. As for the Baltar and Six hallucinations, my guess is they are actually the hand of God (that is to say, he-who-does-not-like-to-be-called-God), his divine messengers. Even if there was a lot of diviney hocus pocus going on, I think this particular bit actually fits the bill. Their prodding started the whole war and they were there to finish it. And then show up again to see our progress and wonder at our future. Not bad, BSG. Not bad at all. I'm not sure about this Caprica series, though. Anyone planning on watching it?
I was overall impressed with the finale. But the one thing that bothered me was we didn't get to see Tigh & Adama say their goodbyes to each other. A big part of BSG was their friendship & I think we deserved to see that.
Science Fiction shows are among my favorites on tv. Based on the show that aired in 1978, the new Battlestar Galactica takes sci-fi plots to the next level. With great land and space battle scenes, this show leaves little to be desired. Character plots and arcs increase the intrest in the show with great chemistry and humorus lines. With a bleak future presented before the human race, a group of refugees take it upon themselves to find a new homeplanet to settle the race away from their enemies, the Cylons. This show proves just how resistant the human race is aginst adversity.
