Free Library Formats

Please bring back the .pdf download for your free library books.

I can't download the kindle version, because I don't have a kindle, or an iphone or an ipod.

I can't download the B&N version because I don't live in the USA.

I might be able to download the Sony version, if I install their software, or it might not work eiter. Who knows? However I really don't want to install a 5th ebook software on my computer. The four formats I have already are enough.

  • Same for me!
No iphone, no sony reader, living outside of the USA.

    Please bring back the pdf-files.

  • The PDFs for October's Free Library selections will be uploaded in a week or two. We are not getting rid of them. :)

  • Thanks, that are great news!
Waiting eagerly for the PDFs :)

  • Me too! It's the only way I read these free eBooks. :)

  • The PDFs have now been uploaded to the Free Library. :) So read away! And let us know what you think too!

  • Thanks for all the great ebooks. I thoroughly enjoy them.

Might I suggest that you make them available in ePub format as well where people can just download the ePub file directly. Like many non-US users it's a struggle to use any other formats.

Most newer dedicated eReader devices are switching over to the ePub format as the standard of choice.

  • Please use ePub or MobiPocket. Your others are very proprietary. Almost all readers or devices will read one of these two.

Taking what is available here and converting it to one I can use is can be problematic.

  • There is a "Kindle for PC" free app at the Kindle store now, should you want to read any of the Kindle books here or try the freebies at Amazon. People not in the US may have a VAT even on the free books. Check the Kindle discussions for more info. It's doesn't apply to me so I don't remember all the details. If nothing else, it's nice to download the large samples of books before you buy. Even nicer than thumbing through the books at a bookstore. Love my Kindle.
