- How To Enter
To enter, submit your answers to the questions featured in the daily posts "Great Geek Off" to info@suvudu.com between 6:00 AM EDT and 10:00 PM EDT on the day of the corresponding post beginning on March 30, 2009 and ending April 3, 2009. Correct answers will be assigned one point each. The Entrant with the highest number of points amassed at the conclusion of each twenty-four (24) hour period will win one (1) copy of Garth Sundem's The Geeks' Guide to World Domination. In the event of a tie between two (2) or more Entrants, Garth Sundem will select a winner at random from the pool of Entrants with that day's highest score. Each day's points will be carried over towards a weekly total. At the conclusion of the five (5) day contest, the entrant with the highest number of points amassed over the five (5) day span will be awarded one (1) iTunes Gift Card. In the event of a tie between two (2) or more Entrants, Garth Sundem will select a winner at random from the pool of Entrants with that week's highest score. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY.
There is a limit of one (1) entry per person (regardless of whether a person has more than one e-mail address) per e-mail address (regardless of whether more than one person uses the same e-mail address) per day for the duration of the Contest. In the event of a dispute about entries submitted by multiple individuals using the same e-mail account, entry will be deemed to have been submitted by the authorized subscriber of the e-mail account used to enter the Contest at the actual time of entry. The authorized e-mail account subscriber is deemed to be the natural person who is assigned an e-mail address by an Internet access provider, online service provider, or other organization that is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses or the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address. Sponsor is not responsible for telecommunications, network, electronic, technical, or computer failures of any kind, or for entries that are delayed by computer transmission. Entries that are late will not be accepted. - Eligibility
This Contest is open to legal residents of the United States (excluding Puerto Rico), who are 18 years of age or older on March 30, 2009. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. Void wherever prohibited or restricted by law. Employees of Random House, Inc., its parent company, assigns, subsidiaries or affiliates; advertising, promotion, and fulfillment agencies; and their immediate family members and persons living in their households are not eligible to enter this Contest. - Prizes
There will be one (1) Winner per day and one (1) Grand Prize Winner at the conclusion of the Contest. Each daily Winner will receive one (1) edition of Garth Sundem's The Geeks' Guide to World Domination (ARV $13.95). The Grand Prize Winner will receive one (1) Pre-Paid iTunes Gift Card (ARV $50). If for any reason all or part of the prize is not available or cannot be fulfilled, Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value, including, but not limited to, cash equivalent. Taxes, if any, are the Winner's sole responsibility. Prizes are not transferable and cannot be assigned. No prize or cash substitutes allowed, except at the discretion of the Sponsor as set forth above. - Winners
Daily Winners will be chosen based upon point total at the conclusion of the corresponding day's entry period from that day's, "The Great Geek Off" entry. Grand Prize Winner will be determined by the highest number of points awarded over the five (5) day span of the Contest. Odds of winning depend on the number of correct entries received and the number of correct answers submitted by each day's Entrants. All Winners will be notified by e-mail on or about April 7, 2009. The prizes will be awarded in the name of the Winners. Failure by a Winner to respond to e-mail notification within three (3) days, regardless of whether such failure is due to personal, physical, digital or any other reason, will result in forfeiture of the prize. Each Winner will have to provide a mailing address to receive the prize. - Reservations
By participating, entrants and Winners agree that Random House, Inc., and its parent companies, assigns, subsidiaries or affiliates, advertising, promotion, fulfillment agencies, and suppliers will have no liability whatsoever, and will be held harmless by entrants and Winner for any liability for any injuries, losses, or damages of any kind to person or property resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from the acceptance, possession, misuse, or use of any of the prizes, or participation in this Contest. By accepting the prize, the Winner consents to the use of the Winner's name, likeness, and biographical data for publicity and promotional purposes on behalf of Sponsor with no additional compensation or further permission (except where prohibited by law). Washington and Vermont residents may omit return postage.
