- How To Enter
To enter, email your name and mailing address to between 12:01 AM EDT Friday, October 30, 2009 and midnight on Friday, November 6, 2009. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY
There is a limit of one (1) entry per person (regardless of whether a person has more than one e-mail address) per e-mail address (regardless of whether more than one person uses the same e-mail address) for the duration of the Contest. In the event of a dispute about entries submitted by multiple individuals using the same e-mail account, entry will be deemed to have been submitted by the authorized subscriber of the e-mail account used to enter the Sweepstakes at the actual time of entry. The authorized e-mail account subscriber is deemed to be the natural person who is assigned an e-mail address by an Internet access provider, online service provider, or other organization that is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses or the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address. Sponsor is not responsible for telecommunications, network, electronic, technical, or computer failures of any kind, or for entries that are stolen, misdirected, garbled or delayed by computer transmission. Entries that are late, inaccurate, incomplete, illegible, lost or corrupted are void and will not be accepted. - Eligibility
This Contest is open to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia who are 18 years of age or older on October 30, 2009. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. Void in Puerto Rico and wherever prohibited or restricted by law. Employees of Random House Inc., and their parent companies, assigns, subsidiaries or affiliates, and advertising, promotion, and fulfillment agencies; their immediate family members, and persons living in their household are not eligible to enter this Sweepstakes. - Prizes
There will be five (5) Prize Winners. Each Prize Winner will receive one (1) signed copy of And Another Thing by Eoin Colfer (ARV $40.00), one (1) copy Artemis Fowl: The Graphic Novel (ARV $9.99), and one (1) limited edition Don't Panic! Promotional towel (ARV $5.00). The approximate retail value of each prize is $54.99. If for any reason a prize is not available or cannot be fulfilled, Random House Inc. reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value, including, but not limited to, cash equivalent. Taxes, if any, are the Winners' sole responsibility. Prizes are not transferable and cannot be assigned. No prize or cash substitutes allowed, except at the discretion of the sponsor as set forth above. - Winner
The Winners will be selected at random from the pool of applicants who email their name and mailing address to between 12:01 AM EDT on October 30, 2009, and November 6, 2009. Odds of winning depend on the number of entries received. The Winners will be notified by e-mail on or about November 9, 2009. The prize will be awarded in the name of the Winner. Failure by a Winner to respond to e-mail notification within three (3) days, regardless of whether such failure is due to personal, physical, digital or any other reason, will result in forfeiture of the prize. Each Winner will have to provide a mailing address to receive the prize. - Reservations
By participating, entrants and Winners agree that Random House, Inc., and its parent companies, assigns, subsidiaries or affiliates, advertising, promotion, fulfillment agencies, and suppliers will have no liability whatsoever, and will be held harmless by entrants and winners for any liability for any injuries, losses, or damages of any kind to person, including death, and property resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from the acceptance, possession, misuse, or use of any of the prizes, or participation in this Sweepstakes. By entering this Sweepstakes the Winners consent to the use of the Winners' name, likeness, and biographical data for publicity and promotional purposes on behalf of Random House, Inc. with no additional compensation or further permission (except where prohibited by law).
